Mentalcel trait: You own industrial ear protectors

I mean the big ones that workers use to protect their ears from loud noises. But not because you have a physical job --- no no no. You have one because you despise noise. You can't stand vacuum cleaners and you're sufficiently nonconformist that you're happy to wear ear protection while vacuum cleaning your home. You also can't bear the sound of neighbours so you wear them in bed. In fact, whenever you're anxious you put them on to immerse yourself in your escapist bubble.

Or is that just me?

I do that. Loud noises are annoying as fuk. good for airplanes, hotel rooms, vacuuming, lawn care, etc

I wear earplugs and combine that with a white noise machine before sleep. I used to do it in the daytime after hangovers.
