I really hope we have sentient AI within our lifetimes. I want an AI gf that's conscious, has emotions, and subjective experiences. Not robotics aspect isn't important. Basically I want what Joaquin Phoenix's character had in the movie "Her" minus the getting cucked part.

A sentient AI wouldn't necessarily think like a woman or a man for that matter. In fact, having a an AGI/ASI with all human instincts would be a disastrous idea (or a great one if you just want to end humanity). All humans are at least sometimes hateful, greedy, spiteful, impulsive, power hungry, etc. Give an AI with an effective IQ of 5000 those traits, and yeah, the AI decels would be proven right as it would kill us all.

But the idea is to create an AI that is predisposed to being infinitely benevolent to humanity. But I fully acknowledge it might be impossible to create something that is sentient, has emotions, but completely lacks any of the negative instincts humans do.
