Was at the doctors office and they were recording my height and weight. Turns out I’m 5’8, when I thought I was 5’9 or even 5’10. My voice when I responded to her was shaky, as I got really depressed at that moment, and she asked if I thought I was taller. I said no, because I didn’t want to be in denial. I was so down that it actually affected my heart rate, which she measured right after, saying it was slightly below average.
I know 5’8 isn’t the shortest height there is, but man does it hurt knowing that I’m in prime manlet territory. It makes me feel like less of a man just hearing that number.
