I kind of like desktops though.

I'd like to build a fairly basic mini-itx machine and put Linux on it.

I have a small Linux machine atm but it's very low spec so won't last me forever. Plus I miss having a fancy light-up computer!

what do you use linux for? i swear there is nothing windows can't do. try piracy with windows, it's much better. every app in linux has a better app from windows.

i swear windows is much more customizable than linux and less likely to crash or have stupid errors. try searching more, start with fmhy and reddit. powertoys, directory opus is pretty good, use wsl if you want linux.

not that i mean anything by it, i tried to use linux for work so i know how limited it is.

Don't listen to the assholes on reddit and the linux community. Windows is more customizable than linux without any bugs. I customize a lot so i know.

Try windows 10 iot ltsc latest version. Here are some apps that make it better than llinux.

Powertoys, wintoys, ,directory opus, sumatrapdf, adobe (blocked internet), clip clip (cracked), autohotkey (try to create script with AI, it's much better than systemd crap), UnigetUI (winget with UI, it's much better than flatpak with almost every app on windows can be installed and managed packages from here, it's the best package manager on windows, even better than linux), microsoft office with masscript crack, macrium reflect (best backup app right now, forget about btrfs snapshot crap), process lasso (best performance tweak on windows, better than scripts and system monitor on gnome linux), tons of other great cracked apps, and most linux apps can be installed from windows.

That's just basically saying "There's more software for Windows". That's probably true.

But more customisable... I just don't understand how you can come to that conclusion.

On Linux you can swap out pretty much any component of the OS with ease. The bootloader, terminal, DE, login screen, etc.

And on top of that it's almost all open source so you can literally go in and change the code if you wanted.

I admit it, but I don't see the point in customizing them.

I think I use computers because of the good software, good configuration, and they do the job for me without any silly bugs, limitations.

What are the limitations you feel are on Linux? Or do you mean due to a lack of software?
