They refused to send more cops out because they don't have the manpower to keep doing this.

Thing is... probably 50% of the guys they catch wouldn't have done it otherwise. And out of the remainder, rapid-firing arrests like this is a lot of work for the police.

I have wondered this for a while but... here is some evidence.

There's definitely an overarching feeling of entitlement yeah.

To some degree it might be overcompensating. I think if I did what they do I'd feel a bit like I was being a nuisance and should get a real job.

Because most of these dudes are innocent and just are looking for a relationship
There is bigger issues to carry out, like actual evil predators
I am sure like 90% of these predators they catch would date someone who is 18 or older if they were ever given the opportunity

Yeah that's the thing - most are just lonely and desperate.

If these people REALLY wanted to protect kids their main focus would be on improving the dating market so guys don't get that desperate all the time.
