A man who has been married for 30 years is committed. But so is a stalker!
So it can be a great thing, or if you kind of invert it to its negative side it can be harmful both for the person being stalked (risk, distress, etc) but also even for the stalker themselves (it impedes your ability to move on and live your life).
Just something that occurred to me!
Even in a less extreme situation than a stalker, being really focused on one person can still impede your ability to live a full life if they're not interested in you or they're bad for you.
