I saw a clip of a Youtuber called Super Eyepatch Wolf (height 5’ 7.5”, face below) claiming that while he was in Japan, he received almost 0 IOIs from anyone there (and got the vibe he was considered conventionally unattractive), unlike in his native Ireland where he’s allegedly used to at least a few whenever he’s out in public.

The dude’s at least a facial HTN and his height isn’t even short by Jap standards; if JBW in the typical sense was real in that context I’d expect a guy like him to be able to benefit from it.
