What sucks about manga and anime is that it's always very cliché. For instance, you'll easily find romance with pretty boy x pretty girl or pretty girl x pretty girl. With some effort, you can find romance with a normie-tier male character. But whenever there's a truly ugly man, he'll always be some rapist and instead of a decent story you'll only ever get sex scenes.
A romance between a kimomen ugly and old character and some beautiful young woman would be lifefuel but as soon as you see one of these ugly bastard motherfuckers you just know there will be next to zero plot and rape will happen within 3 pages maximum.
I rather not have that romance simply because it would be extremely bluepilled. I just rather have no romance simply because I dont want to see characters having that life that is denied to me by my genetics.
