depends its not a fully turn based. It heavily relies on perfect parry and dodging . Story is nothing that big of a deal. You can predict the twist from miles away. first 10 hours are insufferable tho with how reddit tier the male character is act 2 is good act 3 is subjective some like it or not. That said music is decent. Its definitely one of the best new IP/ game to come out this decade. But the bar is already in gutter so don't set your expectations too high

I liked it a lot. For me, the fact that the foids actually looked fuckable was a big selling point considering how trooned up 99% of Western foids look. Aside from that, I thought the combat was good. It reminded me a lot of Shadow Hearts and Lost Odyssey. The music was great and the story was pretty good too.

I watched gameplay of the first 15 minutes of that game. It looks like a complete asset flip, not that far off from something like "Mr.President!". Extremely goofy looking animations that immediately take one out of the experience. The final straw was seeing how shamelessly they aped Persona 5's UI for their turn-based combat, that was just offensive to look at. The fact that something like this got GOTY is a testament to how far gaming has fallen.

The music and graphics are 10/10.
The story is like 9/10 if you are viewing it in small sections but after finishing the game and looking at all the pieces of the story at once it starts to fall apart imo, I wish all the pieces fit together more nicely, I could explain further but I would have to spoil the game. I was excited to do all the endgame content but after finishing thr main story I lost motivation after learning what everything was building up to the entire time.
The combat is 6-7/10, its nothing amazing but if you like turn based games and reflex based combat then its fun, and the game throws enough new stuff at you throughout the game that it doesnt get boring.
If you are interested in these types of games I would at least pirate it imo.
I will say its definitly overglazed by normies but I admit I did enjoy the game from start to finish.
