I listened to the song sounds like typical prog rock and he's also taking led zeppelin chord progressions and rearranging them(babby's first rock songs)

It sounds like he listened to kashmir and fooled around with it alot and then just made it his own(I know he did this because I've done the same shit before)
Recorded studio music isn't really the mark of a "musical genius." Being able to write music isn't really musical genius either. To be a true virtuoso you can just take one instrument and turn it into a orchestra see this

Dillermando Reis is an actual guitar prodigy and virtuoso what you have here with the silverline kid is just a kid who's pretty god damn good though.

yea but you can't compose great music unless you become a virtuoso. All great composers are virtuosos but then again most composers are mediocre in comparison to actual virtuosos and actually make more money because art IS NOT ABOUT TALENT. Success in art is about cultivating a grass roots following and an image/brand that sells.

yea this is a much better song more depth here but once again I have heard hundreds of rock acts like this and this shit usually peters out because white male bands are in decline(because the overall cultural trends are lowering the collective cultural IQ and people would rather listen to ghostwritten shit made by clownshows) this guy was born 20 years too late. This song has alot of that radiohead influence in it but honestly it's better than radiohead(radiohead IMO is very one dimensional and it's done on purpose because they make too many concept albums)
