Did they voluntarily go private? If so, that's bad, because they'll be breaking rules and we won't be able to see it without being members. Now would be the most important time to be watching.

They way we've all gathered to jack each other off about IncelTears proves that their fate/downfall is important to us. So if it's important, we need to calm down and proceed smart from here.

Reddit admins have not stepped in yet as far as I'm aware, however IF a moderator went rogue, they'd have to bring in reddit admins as I believe all moderators are made equal in power?
I'm not sure how reddit moderation works but I believe the Hierarchy is as follow:
Reddit admins > Reddit sub creators = Reddit sub moderators
Which means even if you created a sub, a mod you hired could remove you. It's not like Discord where the creator of the server can be kicked/banned even if you give someone EVERY single right to your discord server: If you made it, you can never be removed.
If it's neither of the scenarios the only reason subs go private is so hide something they don't want to be seen (which reddit admins will see anyway). However, I doubt they deliberately went private due to how unexpected and the message left on privatisation.

Funnily enough I'm in agreement with you in between my rejoicing.
It looks suspicious to say the least.
What's interesting is that an old mod/admin came on like yesterday or something after several months of being inactive and ranted about the current state of the subreddit. It's surprising that there's at least a couple slightly sane people in their community. Even though they were delusional as all hell and would gaslight everything I say when I went on there a long while back, I'm gonna miss it, because now I don't have anyone to laugh at myself.
