Content Moderation (for Users)

Our longstanding policy against illegal content includes:

• Authentic non-consensual intimate images (“revenge porn”)
• Digital forgeries of non-consensual intimate images (“deepfakes”)
• Threats to disseminate revenge porn and/or deepfakes

Users who violate this policy will be warned or suspended as the case may be.

Content Removal Procedure (for Users and Visitors)

I have found revenge porn and/or deepfakes of myself on Incels.is. How can I request the removal of this content?

You must get in touch with us via the “Contact us” form and submit a valid removal request.

A valid removal request must contain all of the following in writing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of your authorized representative;
2. An identification of, and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate, the intimate visual depiction of you;
3. A brief statement from you (or your authorized representative) that you have a good faith belief that any intimate visual depiction identified in (2) is not consensual, including any relevant information for us to determine the intimate visual depiction was published without your consent; and
4. Information sufficient to enable us to contact you (or your authorized representative).

After a valid removal request has been submitted, we will remove the intimate visual image within 48 hours, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove any known identical copies. We reserve the right to ignore all communications from those who repeatedly submit invalid and/or abusive requests.

Question 1: Why are you issuing this policy?

The notice-and-removal provisions contained in section 3 of the TAKE IT DOWN Act (codified at 47 U.S.C. § 223a) came into effect today (May 19th, 2026). Subsection (a)(2) requires us to provide a notice of the process by which we remove revenge porn and deepfakes. That notice is contained above.

No, unless the image is also unlawful under United States law (or contravenes another site policy). Please follow the content removal procedure outlined above.

Question 5: When will this policy be amended or withdrawn?

This policy will be amended or withdrawn entirely if any part of the TAKE IT DOWN Act is subsequently held unconstitutional. We do anticipate legal challenges to the TAKE IT DOWN Act under the overbreadth doctrine of the First Amendment, and the vagueness doctrine of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.

Incels.is is committed to maximizing our users’ freedom of speech and will monitor relevant legal developments.

U.S. law on this issue is considerably better than in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or South Korea.

The U.S. also makes it far easier to mount a constitutional challenge (whether facial or as-applied) to laws that prohibit so-called "image-based sexual abuse". If you read the relevant statutory provisions in full you will find that there are quite a number of exceptions limiting the amount of conduct that might actually be criminalized, and the definition of what counts as an "intimate" visual depiction is relatively narrow. We'll see if that helps the Act survive strict scrutiny.
