Super Bowl is really a US thing. I can't imagine a super bowl party outside of the US. World Cup final is probably 20x bigger, no exaggeration. I'm sure this theory is legit within the US though. I know it is a massive thing over there.
Team sports in general are an interesting one. I kind of miss being able to enjoy watching sports, like really getting excited for them when I was younger (<16). Now I basically realise that all I'm doing is watching a bunch of ultra talented Chads, many of whom are younger than me, playing sports. Like wtf lmfao.
It does make me laugh to think about red faced middle aged losers screaming at meaningless shit happening in sports games. It's like what the fuck? This is your interest? Grown ass men obsessing the lives of 25 year old Chads earning their 10x their yearly salary in a week. I'd probably care about team sports more if there was some loyalty involved, but it's literally just a bunch of Chads kissing the badge of whichever team will pay them the most. JFL.
