In my retail job I noticed something. Whenever parents have their kids and they are in my line, the kids sort of run away from my line or start crying or screaming. It was the same for me, some of my little cousins used to call me evil big man, until i spent a lots of time with my little nephew and i learned how to act around little kids, they seem to like me now.

Human are instinctively know what is bad/is danger for them
example
-human scare of the dark because back then predator hunt at night
-human avoid sharp things and edges because of fangs and claws
-human instinctively put your arms and hands up to shield themselve from danger
-human babies cry as call for help or tell the tribe they're in danger
they use their instinct to calculate if someone or something is danger or scared them and then they cry for help
subhuman = scary, danger, unfamiliar and undesirable to babies/kids instinct
