When I was a kid I never got cavities despite rarely brushing my teeth, my sister who brushes twice a day spent hours at the dentist getting fillings. I thought I just got lucky with genetics but no, it was only as an adult that I learned that the bacteria that causes cavities is not from too much soda, and it doesn't occur naturally in your mouth.
