I'm glad I didn't grow up with modern consoles

My parents had less money growing up so in 2009 they got my siblings and I a GameCube. In 2012 they got us a Wii. i did get a DS in 2012 as well.
A 2ds in 2014, and a GBA SP in 2015.
I managed to get a new 3ds XL off e bay for cheap in 2017.
I wouldn't play PlayStation or Xbox till I was a late teenager.
I'm thankful I didn't spend my childhood playing Roblox and fortnite.
I got to experience classics and develop a finer taste.
The most modern console I had was a 3ds.

Hardware is hardware, I agree with u that games where not done with greed in mind and there was care, but tech falls behind, I managed to get a ps4 saving something given me fron my parents as a teen and I played NFS2015 wich is incredible. And fort wasn’t really bad in the beginning. Now ive a Series x, Microsoft is cucked but the console is a technological marvel.

Jfl. I remember at 14 hearing kids at a swimming pool talking excitedly about v bucks when Fortnite first released. I thought the concept of spending money for cosmetics in a game was cucked. It's so pathetic.

Growing up on less graphically impressive games allows you to develop a taste based on gameplay instead of graphics. Also, almost all modern games are ultra streamlined so people who grow up on modern games have difficulty appreciating the classics.

My condolences that you didn't grow up with actual great nfs games like 2005, ug2 or even older titles like hot pursuit 2 or at least hot pursuit remake. You think that cringe shit and npcs talking constantly to you is "incredible" how sad. I started recently NFS Heat and i can't stand it, both characters just can't shut up and driving mechanics is worse than a game released 20 years ago... I had to fully shut up the music as it was so damn awful. State of NFS is death and nobody from Saudis that bought EA will invest on that dead franchise ever again.

Both my grandparents are dead, I've not seen my parents since 2014 and have been disowned by my father.
My mother rarely sends me Christmas money via bank transfer.
She did so in 2019, stopped for a while, then sent me £50 last Christmas.

Felt pretty bad about that, but I still still took the money and i still hate her and don't want to re-establish contact with her.

I'm not in contact with them, they live all the back in Surrey, outside London and I cut ties with them, willingly.

I was failed really badly by those bastards.
