The fact that so many people here are playing Cyberpunk 2077 suggests to me the inevitable compromise of the Dotco "standard." Yes, even if you pirate it. You still support it by liking and enjoying the game. You elevate it and dignify what it is.
And people know they're doing this. People who hate the soyness of Cyberpunk 2077. But it's technically flawless so it's hard to resist. So I don't blame these people. I'm not gonna play it, but I can understand why someone who enjoys good video games would really want to not be left out when Cyberpunk 2077 hits.
But as exceptional as Cyberpunk 2077 is, it's proof that your standards have a price. You'll be patron to soy product, if they can make it taste good enough. And if you cannot be absolutely against something, you create a slippery slope. If you can bend on this, any further bending is just a matter of negotiation.
