SSDI will take some time. I was approved 1st try with no problems and it took 6 months. That's probably best case scenario. The positive is you do get approved, you'll get a lump sum payment for all the time after you applied.

Housing vouchers took forever when I looked into it, over 1 year at minimum and I'm in the Rust Belt. If you can get that, it's great, but it takes forever. I was very lucky to find a disabled/elderly complex that had an open spot in a no-nigger area.
