They are still struggling financially and miserable.

Finding a career is a big one. I've been working a job for a while now (it's def not career worthy) but I do get 2 weeks vacation pay and a week and half in paid sick days. I fucking hate my bosses tho so I'm considering working for the competition. I just need my degree I think because it's so hard to put your foot in the door anywhere nowadays. I just don't wanna quit this company and end up fucking myself even more.

I can't buy a gun so I am only allowed to do unarmed jobs and yeah, it's basically a job for really old and injured people or people who don't give a fuck about life etc. I am at work right now actually and I just let my coworkers do most of the work. To be fair I'm older than them, more experienced too and I do respond to radio calls. But I often find myself not giving a shit. Sleeping, not doing my job, etc. It's low pay and no one cares about me so it's hard to care and honestly, in general, the employer also doesn't care. They just want things to look good on paper. I write down that I'm patrolling x place meanwhile I'm doing quests in osrs on my phone. Fuck life honestly. If I had a gun and got paid well I'd be trying my best but the system decided to label me as a joke, so I have no options I guess but to accept my role...
