I feel like before wokeness it was hit and miss. Even in The Flintstones which is from the '60s Fred seemed to be pretty scared of his wife sometimes! Really bizarre.

Mostly though I think it was balanced. Men and women could both say things that were a bit edgy (sexual or otherwise) without a big backlash.

But these days it's like women can say whatever and for example if men say sexual things randomly they must be perverted or something. Really weird and oppressive and gynocentric!

The strangest thing is really that... you CAN'T have a matriarchal/gynocentric society.

So in both cases it will swift back to patriarchic society, there is no functional society where women rule over, there are workin society were men rule over women and in those societies it would be possible to create female only society were women rule over women, but this foid only society would always depend on the male society as provider for protection and food (and physical and technical labour)

I guess the main reason is that women have such a high SMV. So the guy is always thinking that he would struggle if he was single again whereas the woman knows she'd be fine.
