@PointOfNoReturn @MACHETE

What kind of guitars do you guys have I want to get a $200 Jackson dinky. That’s the brand mustang used a lot so I think they are good. I’ll also probably get the boss katana practice amp :feelsLSD:

That [UWSL]will work perfectly, make sure to get 24frets so you can play those Deth solos [/UWSL]:feelsdevil:
Yeah it’s 24 frets :feelsdevil:

Though I don’t know how long it will take until I can fluently play a deth solo :feelstastyman:

you can choose to take my advice or not but if i were you id try to buy a guitar that is simple in looks (for that price) because most of the money will go on the looks and the specs wont be as good.

Try to look for yamaha pacificas or jayson turser, specially simple models to manufacture like telecasters, stratocasters or sg

id say stay way from any les paul, hollowbody or any metal guitar for that price range

the amp is good for practicing at home, that is indeed a good purchase brocel

just my advice

high af rn :feelsLSD:

I thought about mastering piano. It seems like a complicated instrument.

[UWSL]She Wolf or Holy War acoustic part would be an easy solo to begin with. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica is simple[/UWSL]
Acoustic seems too complicated for me, unless you mean play it on electric without distortion.
I play valve amps. Orange th30 through 2x12 mainly. When I have opportunity to play loud it’s through a Vox Ac15 cause I like the tone when it starts to breakup. Boss Katana is good choice, my brother has one and you get a wide range of tones. I think there’s Megadeth presets
I want my guitar to sound raw and scratchy like kill em all :feelsdevil:

yes, note for note on electric.
I still don’t know. It sounds complicated for a noob with of the quick pull-offs you have to do
[UWSL]Most of that sound comes from open e palm mutes w/ distortion, should be easy to achieve [/UWSL]:feelsautistic:
I know BUT it doesn’t all sound the same. The open E sounds different on every album just take Metallica as the example. This is just my favorite one.

Nice SG angus :feelzez:.

This guitar was worth every penny. Find a used one can be close to your $200 price and sounds so great. Easily only of the best guitars under $500.

I have probably the world's shittiest Jackson Soloist model. Not sure what it is. Soloist body, serial number says made in India 2010. Sounds like crap, feels like crap, awful bridge/whammy bar that goes out of tune if you use it at all. I got it for $80 at a garage sale and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Looks nice on my wall. I've got an Epiphone LP as well that feels and sounds ok. I read that you can swap electronics on a cheap guitar and get much better sound out of it. Never done it before. Cant think of any cheap decent amps to get that sound sadly. Probably any amp will sound decent if you get an Ibanez tube screamer clone pedal.
