As in, indefinitely... just imagine being a literal God of your own virtual universe. Being able to go to other people's virtual worlds too. Of course I'm talking about a vr world that's leagues ahead of what we have with our current technology, even though video games are quite compelling with graphics and immersion getting better year by year. But I won't be satisfied until we have life like graphics with human level intelligence ai as companions. Why have real friends when you can download the perfect one? Why live in the boring real world where you can exist in a realm without consequences, where your will is law and you can experience any and every human experience via a simulation indistinguishable from the real thing. I dream of the day I can upload my mind into a fully fledged vr world. This is indeed the ultimate lifefuel for me personally, fuck everything else. As far as im concerned, this would be the holy grial to the human experience. They're other cool stuff we might be able to do with the technology too, such as being able to make it seem as though you've been living for multiple lifetimes while in reality it's only been like a week irl or being able to simulate the sensation of being under the influance of your drug of choice without any of the negative side effects. I hope something like this becomes available within either my natural or extended lifetime.
