I become slightly nervous whenever I join a party with people. But they easily chat with each other like it's nothing. I get talked over or my comments don't seem to matter. That is why I stay quiet since I find it harder to connect with them (and the annoying ones in the call never stfu).

I don't have charisma. That is why they don't care.

Then you have people voice chatting for hours and playing Minecrap together building houses and screaming and laughing in their little SMP servers. Fuck you!!!

How large are these parties and are they with strangers?

I feel like talking in voice chat like this is viable and enjoyable if you do it 1-on-1 with somebody that you know, especially if the game requires teamwork/communication rather than having to generate conversation out of nothing.
