Pur essendo frutto del loro duro lavoro, sia la Polonia che la Norvegia sono state legate alla colonizzazione dell'Africa, sebbene nessuna delle due abbia mai posseduto vasti imperi statali d'oltremare. La Polonia tentò attivamente di acquisire territori e colonie africane negli anni '30, mentre la Norvegia è stata storicamente legata allo sfruttamento dell'Africa attraverso le sue alleanze con la Danimarca e singole iniziative commerciali. E anche se non hanno cercato di colonizzare l'Africa, sono state comunque complici dell'ingiustizia e pertanto dovrebbero essere ritenute responsabili.
