I didn't have to worry about financial problems, uni homework and deadlines, no political and world news influences, social interaction (I was usually to myself), and I wasn't addicted to alcohol at that time.
It was like jail but with activities and skills to learn and practice.
I was stress free aside from the pain, fatigue, and tiredness I felt all the time. However, this killed my libido and made me forget about inceldom for the time being.
