Because if it's expensive to generate power, it will be much harder to build AI data centres. Meaning that AI won't take over everything! Hooray!
OK so I fully support solar or wind or whatever is the latest green energy fad that generates almost no electricity ^_^
Wind turbines are shit because to manufacture those rotor blades they use asbestos, at least for the ones they build here.
The asbestos is on the outside and dust, small animals, insects etc. slowly degrade that outter layer, spreading asbestos dust all over the place.
None of these green faggots talk about it. Don't get me wrong, I am all for clean energy, so long as it is affordable enough and actually has no other harmful side effects.
I am still on the edge about electric cars though.
Even if the electromagnetic radiation is not bad for humans, the recycling of the batteries is a nightmare and these cars are an absolute death trap once you crash and it starts burning.
The best alternative, currently, is a mild hybrid, if you ask me.
Also, modern diesel engines are cleaner than petrol engines, so there is absolutely no reason to sell diesel at almost the same price as petrol, since it is a byproduct of the petrol production, and would have been waste if it wasn't for diesel engines.
