Serious I dont get why normies try to make some Discord servers "kid friendly"

I dont get why some Discord servers try so hard to make them kid friendly. Discords TOS say that you have to be at least 13 years old (which isnt kids age anymore) and even on Google Play its rated as an 18+ app, not to mention that Discord specifically has the option to create NSFW channel (which would not be lmplented in a kid friendly app).

I hate it when someone says or posts something NSFW and the soy mods immediately tell you "OMG you cant say that, there are kids on this server". Yeah, as if im a fucking baby sitter, doing the job the parents are supposed to do.

Thats a problem in general i noticed, best example is YouTube where everything gets censored and regulated into oblivion because muh poor childerinos whose parents are too weak willed to set boundaries for their kids.

Wild how fast that changed, 2015-2022 no one gave a shit about nsfw in a discord with minors. I think the turning point may have been the Mr Beast discord scandal
