They like to argue that movie games are important for video games to be taken seriously as an artistic medium. My answer to this is, if video games have to be filled with obsessive cutscenes for you to view them as art, then you inherently never viewed video games as art in the first place.
Movie games truly do pander to the lowest common denominator. The sort of normie who consumes whatever movie or show is popular so that they can brag about their tastes and know how in mass produced slop. The kind of normie who thinks that characters constantly crying about their emotions is deep.
I cannot stand movie games, but even worse is the sort of golem that consumes them.
