My parents have no musical talent, and would shame me if they heard me listening to rock or rap because they said music is a sin. If they were more supportive about me playing an instrument I always wonder if I'd have been talented at playing.

Trust me. I got good at it and if culture wasn't broken, yes it be great, but then I stopped. I couldn't go on not receiving the proper credited while still being good at it (due to Inceldom, due to cultural malfunction, etc etc). It becomes a nightmare. I still play by myself a bit, I play for my canines, but it's just barely manageable. Most days I don't even want to touch the instruments. Brings back too much pain. Thats what the depression does. You must remember that having musical talent, is something men can/do use to seduce and secure a women, and if that ain't really happening, due to Inceldom-type problems, the motivation drops off exponentially. You're better off being a non-musically talented person in this world we live in than a musically talanted one whose traumatized by culture and therefore can't ever make much of it passed a certain point. And trust me, when I say I was good, I mean I was playing in bands, having fun, all of that. It ends badly for Incels. Part of becoming "good" at music today and for the past 70 years involves successful fod worship. Especially with instruments and playing with other musicians. The whole scene is one big credit machine, and if you are not getting the proper validation along the way, it's very difficult to continue graduating in levels. Sure you can just be content playing alone, sometimes I am, but when I do, of course I'm reminded of what could have been and what others of my same skill level got in return (again ifs foid and foid worship).
There are of course ways to use software to make music, and that's better, but I am pretty sure you are pining after being an instrumentalist (especially with singing but even sometimes without) and having an audience!

The brutal thing about my guitar hero playing was that I was playing on PC and pulling my hair out. Years later I realized the shit game was actually ported and was laggy, so a lot of the beats I missed was because of that lag.
I think that game actually had a (negative) impact on my confidence.

Yes. Guitar hero has NOTHING to do with becoming good at the real guitar. The only way to be good at the guitar is by having a predisposition to rythym in your fingers hands and wrists, an ear for musical pattern, and then to start playing young and practice practice practice. That's it.
