The regular one can be played on your pc monitor. If you get it used you can get a non-nintendo dock for it for only $30. Because of corona the price is way too high. If you get the old switch you can hack it and download all the games you want, but you can't go online with them. The games aren't that expensive in america though, we're having a lot of sales now.

Unless there are games you really want that are only on switch, then it's better to stay with the pc. But I like the controllers and hand held touch screen too.

Not into a "musician", but it might increase your sense of rhythm if you really try. However if you're not born with it and passed a certain age, it's less and less likely you'd be able to play it as someone who was and practiced in their youthful days.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case most the time. You won't ever see a 40 year old taxi driver get a guitar and become a pro after a few years.
You're absolutely correct. I played the guitar and piano. I began playing the piano at age 9. I began playing the guitar at age 13. Nearly all level of skill advancement I reached (that's worth mentioning) was by ear. One can say, I was wired for it.
Ultra based. If my parents were high iq they would've put me in musical instrument lessons when I was young, i guess that's what I'll do if I have a son one day.
Ha! Don't be so sure about the IQ part. My parents were not high IQ. They didn't know anything about music. There were people with musical talent in extended family so they had an inkling it might be in their kid's genes. Still took me a long time and a lot of practice to become a decent instrumentalist. And I could not be "taught" in lessons formally, I only learned by playing with others and by myself (mostly by myself). But yes it does help if parents support it while young.
