This seems to work everywhere, ergo why every corner of the internet is full of ragebait. It's an easy way to get engagement. This will continue until the general public wises up and stops replying to these people....in other words never.

It also doesn't help that rage bait is often more difficult to confidently identify than you'd think. For every ragebaiter saying the most outrageously retarded shit imaginable, there is someone out there who sincerely holds the exact same opinion the ragebaiter is pretending to. You'd be amazed the retarded theories that surprisingly large numbers of people unironically and confidently believe.

But sometimes it is obvious, and when a greycel comes here and it's obvious to me he came here just to make bait threads, I just delete their bait threads and ban them.
