Are you up to date or are you diving straight into pirate yakuza?. I've played most an I'm still a few behind, currently playing Y7 Like a dragon.

After that I need to play Yakuza Gaiden then Y8 Infinite wealth. I also need to finish Judgement an play the sequel as well as Kiwami 2 & Y3. There's just a fuck tonne of games an they release annually.

I basically started with Y4 on ps3 followed by Y5. Then I played Y0, Kiwami 1, Y6. On that basis, feel free to jump into the latest because I literally went from back to front an back again :whatfeels: .

I've only just started yakuza 0 tbh, I played through Judgement and Lost Judgement though, which I enjoyed.

Ye Judgement is 1 of my favourites, its just badass to play as a detective in the yakuza world, gives you the other side of perspective. I love defective stuff in general.

I'm tempted to just buy pirate yakuza now because I don't wanna wait until ive finished 3 games to catch up. I can always go back to them, ill continue to play Y7 as well.

I know folk suggest playing a series in order but this series has too many damn games to keep up on schedule so its best to go back an forth between entries I feel.

An tbh after 0 u have Majima's backstory if u want to jump into his latest game as a pirate. You will oc miss his personality change in the games between but I know there's an outfit in this new game that is basically how he was in those games.

I think I played the first one where Kiryu finds out the love of his life lost her memories and has a kid with someone else

Its a great series, just badass to play as the japanese mafia. I just wish there was less stuff to do, I know that sounds weird but the amount of content in these games is overwhelming. Imagine tryin to platinum every single game in this series.

Played from 0 to 6 great games tbh lots of side content and good main story.

Also curious to know how much content did u guys do in these games because there is seriously a fuck tonne from the main story, 100 substories, over 100 random quests, multiple sets of collectibles, colliseum, base building, business management, hostess clubs, restaurants and a fuck tonne of mini game activities each with their own progression system. And theres much more that ive not listed.

0-7, The Judgment games and LAD Gaiden. So at least around 11 RGG titles in total?? Not sure if I'll jump into Pirate Yakuza, I liked Majima the most in 0.

Im on yakuza 5 now. i rember playing the demo of 6 at realease and found the little i played intresting and started from 1. i take my time to play most of the side quest and thats why im only at 5 at the moment. i think im going to skip 7 due too the changes to combat and the fact im familar with kiryu at this point. But i will commend the studio for taking the risk of replacing the well loved kiryu with a new protag.

0, kiwami 1, kiwami 2, 3 and a bit of 4 and 7 (Judgment too). I will need to force myself to finish the games up to the 7 and after that it will be even worse, they are too damn long when you want to finish story + substories.

Pesonally, none - but, it was featured in this article:

Judgement and lost judgement are actual gems. Haven't finished either but thoroughly enjoyed my time playing em. As far any other yakuza series games can't say I've bothered at this stage but they're on the cards one day.

I think the beauty of this series is how varied its content is. Its a beat 'em up crime drama at heart but then you've also got the side stuff which is the most fleshed out you'll ever see in a game.

I'm still on Y7, last night I went from combat to crime soap drama to darts, followed inexplicably by kart racing of all things. Finished off with a bit of business management. What other series has this kind of side content to compliment the main story?.

You just have to be more selective with its content because of the sheer breadth of its activities. Literally every activity is a fully fledged game in itself. There's no way most of us could justify ever fully completing 1 of these games, so its best to just do the content you like.

In Y7 for instance I like kart racing, business management, cabaret club, an the exam quiz certificates, I intend to save my money for these activities, an oc as much substories as possible that I pass along my way.

Only played 2 on ps2

I've never played any of them.

All of them except kenzan

I've played all of them except for Judgment. Lost Judgment, the PSP games, Dead Souls, Kenzan. and Pirate Yakuza.

none, gigasoy game

I just started playing Yakuza 0

I've beat Judgment, 0, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, 3 Remastered, 4 Remastered, and just beat 5 Remastered and am gonna finish all the sidestories and get some achievements on the side.

Only pirate yakuza. Goty btw.

Pirated yakuza 0 to play using keyboard and mouse but its unplayable because looking around using the mouse is just too fucked up. At least the opening song was nice

Some people only just play the story but with these games the side stuff is just as important as the main content. I basically play the content I like in these games and try to fulfil that as much as possible alongside the story like the business management or go karting for instance which is a blast. I couldn't give 2 fucks about baseball or shogi or pachinko, fuck all that, imagine the purists who adamantly 100% each of these games, it would take a fuckin lifetime. I'm fine with fully completing assassins creed games (except for valhalla, fuck that game) but Yakuza requires a fuckin death certificate to fully complete everything in 1 game alone.

Ive beaten 0-3 and have been gradually inching my way through 4 the past few months. It's easy to burn yourself out on those games

4 & 5 are brutal, they drag on way too long, Kiryu & Akiyami are great to play as but the rest are a chore to get through. 4 & 5 were my entry point in the series.

For me 6 & 5 are the worst in series, 0 is definitely the holy grail of the series, wish I engaged in more of the side stuff in 0, an aspect that I'm now more engaged with in the recent games as I realise a Yakuza is as gd as its side content.

I played 1 on ps2, played 0 kiwami and kiwami 2. I beat all of these i also played 3 but never beat it

0-4
on the 4th one now
