Over the years, I've realized that humans aren't rational or logical creatures whatsoever. I'm not saying this in the traditional sense of "people are dumb". I'm saying that reason isn't as much of a driving force behind behavior as we'd like to think. Superstition, impulse, subconscious desires, instinct, environmental circumstances, and cognitive biases are the driving forces behind human behavior. "Hope," in my view, can be classified as a cognitive bias. When looking at the facts, can hope for a better tomorrow be definitively proven? In most cases, no. Statistically, negative outcomes are far more likely. Normies don't live in reality; they live in their reality. This is one of the main reasons I'd call myself a misanthrope.
