Its not fun when you become aware that you will slowly over time become more sick, dependent on medicine and your body gets weaker. I already suffer from multiple health issues at my age and it will very likely get way worse for me over age

Life isn't supposed to be a joy ride though. Some suffering is part of the greater equasion, sure you will naturally strive to minimize suffering but at the end of the day it is what it is. Your body will break down to a point where you'll die. So rejoice, because the end is coming!
