Is it because I feed her?

She's been getting 1/4 cup of kibble once a day for the past couple months or so. Basically on a crash diet. If I keep feeding her 1/4 cup indefinitely, she will be underweight. She's still extremely affectionate and sees absolutely nothing wrong with my personality.

But when I go outside to run errands, females are always letting me know how subhuman I am before I've uttered a single word to them. How can this be, if it's my personality that's the problem?

I personally like cats better than dogs, unfortunately my parents own a dog that does jack shit. My dog just lays there, chews up the couch and the pillows and doesn't understand simple commands. Well I like any pet that is in a cage or a tank, no cat or dog fur spreading all over the furniture and I don't have to make most caged animals out to walk or to take a shit.
