Some time ago, I came across this very interesting clip (maybe it was here actually, as I did lurk before I had an account). It was the perfect representation of how I have felt ever since I wanted a girlfriend. In this clip, there was some GPAcel who was receiving an academic award. In front of him, a couple was dancing together, showing him who the real winners were. On his face was the look of total emptiness, the recognition that even though he made an accomplishment, he was denied of the true prize.
I remembered this video after receiving some good news on my term grades recently (may make another post about this) but it did call to mind that video. But of course this term is nothing unique. I have always been an academic overachiever and a loser everywhere else.
