It's kinda like Kaiji but the mc is a mega crackhead and tries to IQ mog other psychopaths. I've only watched the Kaiji movie and didn't like it cuz the mc was just pulling out some massive bs. Pls do not spoil or anything just give me what you feel about it I'm kinda interested. I might also give Kaiji manga a try someday.

I love high stakes, a dissatisfaction of mine in anime was that the stakes were never high enough. Kaiji surprised me greatly, showing me that an anime could have high stakes, and a protagonist who didn't feel lucky nor talented. He was an idiot majority of the time, but somehow he keep surviving, by will, luck and instinct.

Usogui is similar but also different. There's gambling, but the MC is 10000 IQ level, nothing like kaiji. It's a different experience. People who enjoy reading about smart characters, nice twists and gambling might enjoy Usogui. It's an amazing seinen. It's quite long too, about 50 volumes.

I've enjoyed both works. Those are some works that are unlike the others.

I've read a couple of chapters of Usogui but holy fuck the stakes are insanely high that you'd think that it's almost impossible to survive in those kind of situations.

Is it kinda like in Kaiji too?

Yeah. In Kaiji the stakes pile up really fast and are so fucking worse each time, you'll be filled with dread for the protagonist. I actually feel sad for him, he wanted money but ends up in shittier situations on the daily, lol.

I will start reading it, I liked Kaiji
