I don't know why people bash it. Maybe the multiplayer was a bit lacking?

But I thought the campaign was really fun, the mechanics were great, it looked great, and it had the hottest Cortana.

What's not to like? ^_^

hot cortana was pretty much the only thing i liked

Halo 4 was underrated. I consider it the only decent 343 Industries Halo game to date. I enjoyed the campaign. The story was pretty captivating and there were some genuinely great moments. Despite the questionable art style, the graphics were very impressive for an Xbox 360 game. And yes, Halo 4 had the hottest Cortana. :feelsohh::ahegao:

The multiplayer had its shortcomings, but there was a decent Halo experience buried in there once you looked beyond the cut + paste mechanics. I actually enjoyed it when these features were disabled. Legendary Slayer was a blast! It felt more authentically Halo than Infinite and Halo 5 did.

I thought the graphics and world had a lot of depth and detail. The mechanics I felt were... more satisfying than the three main games before it.

I quite like ODST as well because it felt different.

Plus 4 and ODST had a lot of atmosphere.

I guess I feel like 1-3, Reach, 5 and much of Infinite (at least after the opening section) all feel a bit... plain. To me.

2 looks OK though I'd like to check that one out more.

Also the enemy shields in the early games were part of why I found them a bit bullet-spongy.

it was underwhelming compared to previous halo games but by today’s standard it’s a gem
