Blood is basically an organ because it has all the characteristics of one, and it has been proven that organ receipants get their DNA changed by the foreign organ they have received.

It was proven later via a DNA test that the organs' donor was genetically the father of the receipants' child.

So, even if you donate blood, that, when given to some patient, will change their DNA also.

it does get tested but I believe only your first donation with that organization/hospital will go through the full test, every subsequent donation goes through a faster, simpler testing process
