I actually got a few looks from women and somewhat better treatment overall in NYC when I visited there for vacation and I was overweight back then too and this was pre-surgery. I was still disliked by most women but I wasn't treated as badly and I saw some unattractive guys with woman. It's easier to ascend in NYC than in Cali, because there are way more woman than men there, whereas there are way more men than woman here.
