The oldest ancestor that I can name is my great great grandpa on my paternal side. I know nothing about him except his name, year of birth (1890), year of death (1963), and the fact that he was in the army during WW1. I should ask my grandpa if he knows anymore info about him.

My great grandfather (paternal grandmother's father) was an influential contractor whom I have known personally in childhood before his death. I have vivid recollections of him even though I was like six when he died.

I have also seen a picture of my great great grandfather (paternal grandfather's grandfather).

That's about it. I've never seen my mum's grandparents in any photos. The farthest back I can trace my maternal ancestry is my maternal grandparents.

All my known ancestors for the past ~200 years were Serbs. I didn't know them or have a tree to confirm (though I'd like to make one soon), but my grand parents knew their grand parents; and they were Serbs from Vardar Macedonia. I knew my great-grandmother too.

I know my maternal ancestors by name like 7 generations back. We also know that they originally came from Montenegro. Fun fact, great great grandpa was murdered by a woman, and she didn't serve time because she was pregnant at the time of the murder.

On my dad side I only know my ancestors 3 generations back. Great grandpa was executed by the communists in his early 30s, the people with our surname also migrated from Montenegro, that's all we know. Great grandma was a Czech/Slovene woman who died of an illness soon after great grandpa and as far as I know neither of them had siblings so we dont know anything about their predecessors (or maybe no one cared enough to look for that info).

Great great grandparents on my mom's side (half), grandparents on dad's side.

One half of my great great grandparents were Italian who were Ellis Islanders and settled in the Midwest, other half of my great great grandparents, I'm not sure. Great grandma was born to them and continued to live in the Midwest, married my great grandpa who was Dutch. Grandma was born to them and married by grandpa who was full German, who then gave birth to my mom, then to me, of course.

On my dad's side, I only know of my grandma and grandpa. Grandpa worked for the Iranian government doing something of some sort, I'm not sure. Dad immigrated from Iran to the US in the 70s. He lived in several different places before marrying my mom and making the biggest giga-mutt on .is.

You are right, my mothers side are all croation/bosnian. But my mother is something like 1/2 or 1/4 jewish - from her fathers side. I'm confused on how it works.

And my father's father has correlation with India, he explained it to me but I forget the components. But for the most part yes he has British - I should have made that clear in the initial reply.

According to one of the users on the forum I look very anglo. Olive skin tone/brown hair though
