VPNs never worked for me to evade reddit bans - they seem to somehow tie the ban to your device.

I see people who make new accounts get locked out again on incel.is. My guess is they finger print your browser and ip so if he uses a new browser it would still catch him because ip. So he needs to change both and virtual machines are the easiest option to sandbox
