The so-called Holiday Killer/"Feiertagsmörder" Ulrich Schmidt from Essen mentions this as well, that he lost his ability for normal sexual encounters during his long prison stays due to his only contact with women being imagination/porn (this was before he became a serial killer/rapist, he was in prison only for assault/robbery/theft).
Other (not drastic) criminals describe the torture associated with the withdrawal of sexuality too.
William Heirens (a man that was locked up since he was 17 years old for the Lipstick killings, that he likely didn't commit/wasn't guilty of) said that his biggest regret was never losing his virginity to a loving girl.
Many commenters agreed and said what a plight that was, why do criminals/prisoners get sympathy for not getting sex while we get nothing but mockery? We aren't able to get sex too (due to mental and phyiscal barriers) and most of us never acted against the law.
And furthermore, when you are in your 20s and didn't have sex ever you most of the time develop more and more fucked up feelings towards it which makes it even harder to get/enjoy once you get it, because you can only resort to pornography/imagination -with no dose of realism- for satisfying basic physiological needs for all prior years. The longer you stay without sex the harder it becomes to get/enjoy (even if you have the opportunity, which prisons clearly show).
