No. The Drake equation stipulates that there's intelligent life in the world out there. If there isn't, chances are high that it will arise. The perfect solution would be to create von Neumann probes that would destroy all life in the Universe and render all planets uninhabitable for any lifeforms. Imagine for a second that you were able to think objectively: do you want to be the worker in society or the sheltered child who has everything handed to them? I for one do not want to work.
It is extremely intelligent and energy efficient to have others work for you, so long as you can trust them not to notice you are a parasite.
Additionally, would you rather be the one working in order to be seen as a valuable mate or the one choosing from the workers in order to find your mate? It is very intelligent to be the one choosing instead of the one working to be chosen.
