For the people who have played both, I've been wanting to get into Europa Universalis, but I don't know which one to invest my money in. Just from the looks I prefer Eu4, and I'm just assuming it's more polished, but it's a lot more expensive with all the DLC than getting Eu5.

eu4 = polished complete game
eu5 = unfinished underbaked beta test

This is what ive been thinking. I will just get the most important DLC for eu4 and get the rest later.

Always buy the older paradox titles. The only exception I would make is CK3.

as someone with 1.3k hours in eu4 i would say eu5 even if it is incomplete. the mechanics are just more fulfilling due to actually simulating pops and trade etc making it a fundamentally more immersive game. kind of a vic and eu merge.
release wasn't even that bad and it is being worked on anyway:

Is EU5 worth getting into right now? Or as usual for paradox games, needs a few more years to "mature" and get DLCs that will make it playable (no guarantees there)?
