It's not a surprise Sony has become evil, but the last few months they just increased their bad actions at an alarming rate, price hikes across the globe for their consoles (mind you they were already making a profit selling the PS5 pro for $750, it's not like they were losing money manufacturing it), online verification for digital games starting this late April, locking PS5 save data backup behind a paywall (ps plus membership) among many others anti-consumer practices.
But the downfall of Sony lies in their gaming output, since the PS4 era more precisely, Sony has been putting out slop after slop, TLOU, God of war 2018 (which is a slop game imo, the original trilogy is much better in every single aspect), Killzone Shadow Fall basically killed the franchise, Horizon which is one of the most generic garbage I've ever played in my life,The order, Until Dawn etc, a couple of games saved the PS4 era for Sony, we can mention Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet and clank reboot, gravity rush 2 to name a few.
But now Sony is only releasing woke garbage such as Ghost of yotei,God of war Ragnarok , Returnal, Saros aka Sarr os, other live service junk which I forgot the name, but you can get the gist of it. Sony became an evil woke corporation, I feel ashamed for still supporting this company, being a sucker for physical games, I still buy games for Sony consoles, but once they go full digital, I'm moving to PC.
I miss old Sony, humble Sony from the PSX / PS2 era, that Sony that wasn't afraid to innovate, release different genres of games, my favorite sony owned Studio was Japan studios, and they nuked it back in 2021, to focus more on their western studios (which only released garbage btw), I just miss that era of gaming, where we had innovative games, a variety of genres, and Sony wasn't so greedy like it is now, but I guess it's too late now, we will never go back to that time, things will only spiral downward from here on out, hopefully steam or Xbox make a comeback to humble Sony, but that's just wishful thinking at this point.
