I agree, but the reason he is so infamous is because his story was very interesting.

It's precisely because he had those privileges, was ND, wrote a journal of his whole life since a very young age and wrote a very long manifesto including videos recording himself that became popular after he died that we know so much about him and that gave the incel movement notoriety.

marc lepine for example did his killing in 1989, long before the word incel even existed, but his story wasn't compelling enough to be remembered, the internet didn't exist the way it does today.

it's all a big perfect storm as to why ER is the most notorious one. But I agree that he was far from a truecel, argueably a nearcel (because of his ND).

I would argue that one of the biggest truecel is probably a chinese or a north korean man with a horrific birth defect, completely ostracized from his community forced to work for less than a cent a day to survive.
