Elden Ring is overwhelming

So many armaments and consumables. I feel forced to try out everything thrown at me that I spend more time customizing with items than playing the game. It has a beautiful world and great gameplay otherwise so it’s a shame I get bogged down with too many options to approach the game.

Yep, this is how I ought to play from now on. Sticking to a weapon for at least 30 minutes or something while not thinking about what I should equip.

Damn I feel the same. Do you get stressed out when playing huge games with too much to take in?
I don't know why but I get anxiety playing those games.

I love open world games, what’s bugging me in this case is the huge amount of stuff you can choose to equip at any given time. During combat I’m always concerned whether I’m using the right gear, and knowing I can change shit mid-combat becomes overwhelming.

They should have had more upgrade materials for the normal, enchantable weapons. I spend the first half of the game wishing i had upgraded a diff weapon

i never played the game since it needs a very strong pc but i saw a ton of reveiws and gameplay and i can say it quite amazing.
the gameplay, the atmosphere, the weapons, the npcs and everything else is just astounding tbh. the game is peak perfection plus the massive world just make it better
