Does anyone else experience this height illusion?

Whenever I stare at a person from a somewhat far away distance at eye level, they seem to be taller than when I'm close to them, even when the surface we're standing on is flat.

But I compare people's heights with mine based on how far above or below their eyes are when look straight at them.
