Does any incels born in the late 80s and early 90s remember how bad dating advice pre social media?

Like I remember posting on Yahoo Answers as to why I couldn't get a girlfriend, and the bunch of idiots would always tell me, you just haven't found the right one or you're ''creeping off the girls'' with your ''personality''.

imagine people telling you to wait to get lucky in 2019

the year where all the shelves have been emptied and all the pavements have been scoured

you're going to "get lucky" somehow and find someone

I can only comment on the 2000s before Tinder, but it wasn't really different for incels. Without electronic means of meeting people, one has to be extroverted and physically distinct to attract attention. This is why PUAs of the time emphasized "game" and fake attempts at charisma. The main difference between that era and the 2010s is more how mid-tier and lower-middle-tier normies have been sidelined and how Chads have become gods. This is an expected consequence of interconnectivity that social media and Tinder have created.

There are aspects of the Incel Canon that I don't agree with. One I definitely agree with is that the social media revolution has completely changed how one can meet potential mates. The high school I went to was the center of neighborhood of people of the same ethnicity and social class. The high school was where you found girlfriends. Any of the dozen churches worked as well. That centrality of focus meant most girls had few other options but the neighborhood boys.
Today, the world is one giant online cocktail lounge. People can just ghost each other. They can just catfish each other. It's the online LARP of all time. Beats me how to deal with it.

If women outright told us we where ugly when they dont show interest like we do they would loose their greatest reasourse ever attention.

Social media was around when I was a teenager, I was born 1992 so I used Bebo in 2006-2007. To be fair to Bebo they had good mods, they shut down a bullying "fan club" people made of me in 2007

You were just ignored and left out of everything. There was no tip giving, but you mostly assumed it was just bad luck with the people in your local area and that it would improve if you just moved elsewhere or went out to more places and met more people.

Now you can find out how worthless you are by using tinder and see how worthless you are on a mass-scale, as millions of women can deny you in a matter of days by swiping left on their smart phones.

It's where and how the PUA industry took off

A lot of snakeoil salesmen taking advantage of incels online
